William Carey International School prepares students for courses designed by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), UK.

Philosophy

WCIS recognizes that the parents are most accountable before God for the nurture of their children in the ways of the Lord. Therefore the school sees itself as an extension of the home. We see the home and school must be partners in helping the students to grow in discipleship and establishing the relationships and living in obedience to God’s Word.

Special Features Of This Institution

  • Importance are given to the practice of discipline, moral values, ethics, games and sports and other co-curricular activities to trace out latent talent of the students.
  • In the beginning of the session, academic calendar of events and syllabus provided to the students.
  • According to the academic calendar, all examination, co-curricular activities and other competitions are held.
  • Parents’ Day is arranged for meeting with the Principal.

Student-Teacher Ratio

We have maintained a student-teacher ratio of 25:1 for primary and selected topics in secondary. This ensures the quality of learning.

Co-Curricular Activities

All the students of this institution will be divided into four houses. In order to create competitive spirit among the students, inter-house extracurricular activities, such as, debate, recitation, music, sports, cultural program, wall magazine and art competition etc. will be conducted regularly.

Uniform

It is mandatory for all the students to put on uniform prescribed by the institution. Description and design of the uniform are given at the time of admission.

Parent-Teacher- Meeting

Along with the teaching community, education is a combined endeavor of parents. The institution has succeeded in developing an active organization of the parents. The school organizes PTM on a regular basis. It is compulsory for all parents to attend PTM. They can meet teachers and know the progress of their children, if needed, may even discuss the individual problems of their child and put forward their valuable suggestions.

Withdrawal Procedure

  • If any parents want to take T.C. after completion of session they have to submit an application before the final term exam begins in May otherwise they have to pay one month fees for the next class (for July). 
  • If the child is withdrawn in mid-session or expelled from the school, the fees and charges paid will not be refunded in part or in full. 
  • Transfer certificate will not be issued until or unless all the dues are cleared.

Conclusion

Our assigned mission and vision will be reflected in establishing the common saying- education has no alternative in creating an enlightened man, meaning In fact, we are in need of enlightened men in our society. And education is the only alternative in itself to create an enlightened man.
The Principal reserves the right to waive any of the rules contained in the book without assigning any reason for his action and it will be binding on Parents / Guardians and Students.
